Saturday 3 December 2011 - Survival after Summer Workshop

10am – 2.30pm 40 Masonmill Road, Carmel

Come join us for this special hands-on gardening event set in the picturesque French rose Garden ‘Le Jardin de Rose’ at Melville Nurseries. Presented by local experts, this gardening workshop is full of great ideas, practical advice and lots of fun.

Rose specialist Bob Melville will be presenting entertaining and practical garden demonstrations along with Channel Seven gardening expert and landscape designer Colin Barlow of Gardens from Eden.

Gardening Topics include:
  • How to help your garden survive summer. Water saving tips to help your garden survive the hot summer ahead.
  • How to pot-up plants like the professionals. Including what water saving products and fertilisers to use. What to plant now in your garden.
  • The secrets to sowing seeds successfully.
  • Caring for your roses including fertilising, deadheading and pest and disease control.

    There will be fantastic new plant releases, product samples and giveaways on the day for attendees plus delicious food as a light lunch is also included (12-12.30pm).

    Cost is $60 per person. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited.
